My Labour Day Plans

I'm looking forward to enjoying this long weekend - I hope to spend a big chunk of it being creative: I'm working on a new project for this fall, I have several birthdays as well as other gifts that I need to be be making and I hope to get a jump on my holiday cards.  Here are some of the stamp sets that I'll be using:

I have to be honest with my readers: there are a lot of sets, accessories and embellishments in this cattie that I can't wait to get my hands on.  In looking at this mini, I've been inspired to create some interesting projects such as trying to duplicate the suitcase in this picture.

Over the next little while, I will be announcing the dates for some really interesting and fun workshops to open my new home studio.  While it isn't fully complete yet, my wonderful husband has created a space for me to play in until he finishes off my new studio.

Sunday Musings

From now until the end of Sale-A-Bration, if you join my Stampin Up! team, I will enter your name into a draw for  our new Designer Series Paper Sampler.  It contains a 3" x 3" sample of every single Designer Series paper available in the Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalogue. (Because our Patterns Designer Series papers repeat patterns with each colour, the sampler will include one sheet of each colour available, with every pattern represented.)

On its first day on the supply list, it sold out before Noon!

So, last night, after putting it off for as long as I possibly could, I decided to do the "books" for my stamping business.  Expecting to find, like last year, that I'd spent more on my business than it had made, I was surprised to find that I'd made money in 2008!  Now pending review, it would seem that I've made approximately $250 profit for the year!  I've been kind of at a crossroads with my business and this new turn might just be the push I need - that and possibly going to the SU! Convention in Salt Lake City in early August!
